Keep it yours. Keep it accurate. Share only what you mean to share.
IDee organises information supplied by users. It does not independently prove title, authenticity, condition or value, and it does not legally transfer the physical object.
Agreement and scope
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and the operator identified in section 17 (“IDee”, “we”, “us” or “our”) when you create an account, access an authenticated feature or otherwise use IDee.
The Terms apply to the website, account area, object records, digital Passports, public sharing tools and related services. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice explain how personal data and device storage are handled and form part of the information provided to you.
If you do not agree, do not create an account or use authenticated features. Mandatory rights granted by applicable consumer or data-protection law are not excluded or reduced by these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering this agreement. If local law requires parental or guardian consent for digital services, you may use IDee only after that consent has been validly obtained. IDee is not directed to children below the minimum age at which they may consent to an online service in their country.
If you use IDee for a company or another organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organisation.
The IDee service
IDee lets users create and maintain digital records for physical objects, including selected specifications, photographs, documents, lifecycle events and public-facing Passport information. Features may differ by object category, device, browser, location or release stage.
Unless IDee expressly states that a particular fact was verified by a named independent source, a Passport is a user-supplied organisational record. It is not, by itself, proof of legal ownership, identity, provenance, authenticity, condition, safety, mileage, service history, insurance, regulatory compliance or market value.
Ownership-transfer and shared-access tools create digital workflow records only. They do not transfer title to the physical object, replace a sale contract, register a vehicle or property, notify an insurer or authority, or complete any legally required formalities.
Accounts and security
You must provide accurate information, keep it reasonably current and protect your password, email account and authentication methods. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
Do not share access credentials, bypass authentication controls or use another person’s account without permission. Tell us promptly through the published support channel if you suspect unauthorised access. We may require reasonable identity or account-control checks before acting on a sensitive request.
Your content
You retain any rights you hold in photographs, descriptions, documents and other information you upload (“User Content”). You grant IDee a worldwide, non-exclusive, limited licence to host, store, reproduce, format, process, transmit and display User Content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve the service and to make content public when you choose a public setting. This licence ends when the content is deleted, subject to reasonable technical retention, backups and legal obligations.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload and use the content and that doing so does not violate privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, contractual or other rights. Avoid unnecessary personal data about other people. Never upload payment-card data, government passwords, account passwords or material that is unlawful to possess.
Public Passports and sharing
Private content remains intended for your authenticated account. Fields, events and photographs you actively mark as public may be copied into a separate public Passport and may be viewed, indexed, captured or re-shared by anyone who receives or discovers its link.
You can deactivate the public Passport link, but deactivation cannot recall copies, screenshots, downloads or shares already made by other people. Before sharing, review the preview and remove serial numbers, precise locations, faces, documents or other information you do not want made public.
Scores, badges and verification language
Passport strength, tier and completion scores describe how much requested information has been added. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond are product-design levels, not appraisals, credit ratings, insurance grades or certifications.
A status such as “document on file” means only that the relevant record exists in the account unless the interface clearly identifies a separate verifier and the scope and date of that verification. You must not present an IDee visual, badge or score as an independent guarantee.
Acceptable use
You may not use IDee to facilitate fraud, theft, deceptive sales, impersonation, unlawful surveillance, infringement, unsafe activity, sanctions evasion or trade in prohibited or stolen items. You may not upload malware, scrape private areas, probe security, interfere with service operation, overwhelm infrastructure, reverse engineer protected components except where law expressly permits, or attempt to access another user’s data.
You may not remove IDee attribution from an export in a way that falsely suggests another issuer, or use the service to make misleading claims about ownership, provenance, authenticity or verification.
Restrictions, reports and moderation
We may investigate reports and use proportionate technical or human review to restrict content, links or accounts that reasonably appear to violate these Terms, third-party rights or applicable law. Measures may include reducing visibility, deactivating a public Passport, removing content, preserving evidence where legally required or suspending access.
Except where immediate action is necessary for safety, security, fraud prevention or legal compliance, we will aim to explain a material restriction and provide a reasonable way to challenge an error through the published contact channel. Enforcement decisions will take account of context, severity, frequency and the rights and legitimate interests involved.
Third-party services and links
IDee relies on third-party infrastructure for hosting, databases, authentication, storage and similar functions. Google sign-in and any linked external service are also subject to the relevant provider’s terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services we do not control, but we remain responsible for our own obligations when providers process personal data on our behalf.
IDee intellectual property
The service, software, visual system, card templates, IDee name and logos are owned by or licensed to the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service and generated exports for lawful personal or business purposes.
If you voluntarily submit feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or payment, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.
Availability and changes
We aim to operate IDee reliably but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Features may be tested, modified or discontinued for maintenance, security, legal compliance or product development. Back up information you independently need for legal, insurance, tax, warranty or safety purposes; IDee must not be your only copy.
We will communicate material changes to these Terms in a clear manner and, where required, before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.
Suspension, account deletion and termination
You may stop using IDee at any time and may request or use self-service account deletion. Deletion is permanent and may remove Passports and uploaded card photos, subject to short-lived backups, security records and legal retention described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach, unlawful activity, serious security risk or where operation becomes unlawful. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy or export appropriate data before termination.
Warranties and reliance
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IDee is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that user-supplied content is accurate, that every object can be identified, that public links will remain available indefinitely or that the service is suitable for a particular transaction.
IDee does not replace professional appraisal, inspection, maintenance, legal advice, insurance advice, title searches, authenticity certification or official registration. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Liability
Nothing limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law prohibits limitation.
Subject to that rule, IDee is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate User Content, reliance on an unverified Passport, transactions in physical objects, acts of other users, third-party services outside our control, or loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was made. For consumers, all mandatory local remedies remain available. Business users are responsible for reasonable losses and third-party claims caused by their unlawful content or material breach.
Governing law, disputes and operator information
Before starting formal proceedings, you and IDee should first try to resolve a concern through the legal contact below. Consumers retain the right to use any mandatory court, complaint or alternative-dispute mechanism available under their local law.
The operator’s legal name, registration details, address, contact email and chosen governing law must be published below before unrestricted public registration opens. They cannot be inferred from the product name and are intentionally not fabricated.
