Proof Vault: documents connected to your belongings
Proof Vault is the document area inside an IDee Passport. It keeps receipts, warranties, invoices, manuals and service evidence alongside the object they describe.
For owners who need to find the right document for a repair, a warranty query or a later handover, without mixing files from different belongings.
Open your collection and documentsKeep the source with the record
Give each uploaded document a useful title, category and date. A service invoice can then support a dated history event, while a manual or warranty remains easy to find in the item’s own document list.
- PDF, JPG, PNG and WebP uploads, up to 10 MB per file
- Categories including receipt, invoice, warranty, service, inspection and manual
- Owner access to original files through short-lived document links
A document and its shared description are different
The document controls distinguish proof metadata from the original file. Selecting public proof metadata does not publish the file itself. A separate transfer selection determines which documents may accompany a Passport handover.
The shared Vaults workspace serves another purpose: grouping Passports for a family or team. It is not a public document folder, and membership does not turn private files into public downloads.
From the first step
How to get started
Open the right Passport
Find the item in your collection and open its ownership centre and Proof Vault.
Upload and describe
Choose a supported file, add its category and date, and use a title you will recognise later. Uploads are subject to current service availability.
Review each sharing choice
Keep personal information out of shared metadata. Select document transfer separately when preparing a handover.
What to keep in mind
Uploading evidence does not independently authenticate it or guarantee a warranty claim. Keep originals when a seller, repairer or other recipient requires them.
Choose the correct Passport and inspect documents for personal information before any separate transfer. Proof Vault does not promise end-to-end encryption or legal certification.
Common questions
Where do I open Proof Vault?
Open a Passport from your collection and find its documents in the ownership centre. The separate Vaults workspace groups items for shared access.
Does a “document-backed” record mean independent verification?
No. A document can support a record without an independent party checking its authenticity or contents. An owner-selected label is not manufacturer or partner verification.
