Organise receipts and warranties around each item
Keep a device’s purchase receipt, warranty information and repair history together in an IDee Passport, so the paperwork is connected to the item you actually need help with.
For households and individuals with devices, appliances or equipment bought at different times from different sellers.
Create a Passport for a devicePrepare a record you can find again
A receipt in an email inbox can be difficult to match to a particular device months later. Start with the device’s category, brand, model and photograph, then attach the receipt to that Passport’s Proof Vault.
Keep the warranty document separately from the purchase receipt. A date you enter helps organise your record; the original document explains the applicable terms and any conditions.
- Purchase receipt or invoice associated with the correct item
- Warranty document, source and relevant date
- Repair events with their supporting documents
Make a repair enquiry easier to prepare
When something needs attention, open the item’s record, find the purchase and warranty documents and review earlier repairs. You can then identify which facts and files the seller or repairer requests.
Keep personal addresses, payment details and account information out of anything you share. Public proof metadata does not grant access to the original file; sending a file to a repairer is a separate decision.
From the first step
How to get started
Create one device record
Choose the appropriate category and enter the model accurately. Add a photograph to distinguish similar items.
Attach the paperwork
Upload the receipt and warranty in Proof Vault when uploads are available. Label each file and preserve the original terms.
Keep the repair trail
Add a dated event after a repair and link its document. Record useful care dates without relying on an automatic notification.
What to keep in mind
IDee organises the documents you provide; it does not issue, extend or guarantee a manufacturer’s or retailer’s warranty.
Saved warranty and care dates do not mean reminder delivery is active. Premium and automated care features remain upcoming.
A stored copy may not meet every recipient’s requirements. Keep original documents when needed.
Common questions
Does uploading a receipt automatically create warranty coverage?
No. The file becomes part of your record. Coverage and dates depend on the issuer’s terms and the information you enter, not on the act of uploading.
Can I start with only the receipt?
Yes. Create the item’s Passport with the details you know and add the warranty or repair documents when you have them.
